We've just acquired seed capital for our internet startup to embark on an
amazing opportunity that will challenge the current paradigm of web
communication through employing live video broadcasting functionality.

Right now, we're looking to form our core team of proficient programmers who
are interested in growing with a budding startup that hopes to improve the
way we communicate online. Competition is fierce, but if you feel you are
passionate about the latest web 2.0 trends, and are willing to put in at
least 4 months of hard work into the next great idea, this may the
opportunity for you.

We're looking for people with the following skills:

Ninja Adobe skills
. comfortable writing web applications in Adobe Flex/Flash Actionscript 3
. doesn't have to rely on the Flash' GUI tools to get the job done
. experience with live streaming video highly desired, but not required as
long as you can learn

AND/OR

Ninja Ruby/Javascript skills
. enjoys writing web applications in Ruby on Rails
. knows a couple ways around jquery or similar js library and "unobtrusive"
makes sense
. writes CSS like cats fall, because there's always one or two browsers that
misbehave
. of course, understands how to create a well designed database using RoR
. knowing merb is highly desired, but not required as long as you can learn
. experience integrating with 3rd party APIs (e.g. Google Maps, Flickr,
whatever) also highly desired, but not required as long as you can learn

AND

Pure Ninja skills
. good at learning new technology and applying them successfully
. has a solid foundation in object-oriented programming
. enjoys being challenged and creative
. knows how to apply the MVC design pattern
. understand the RESTful design pattern
. thinks creating a Rich Internet Application would be a good gig
. wants to work in a tight, highly motivated team
. is generally a happy person
. degree in computer science desired, but not required

. experience working in Agile environments or using Test-Driven Development
(TDD) definitely awesome

Our offices are in Santa Monica. Part-time and full-time positions are
available.
